Add a note

Open a contact and find the note box under Groups. It reads Add note. Type, and it saves against the contact with the date attached.

You can add as many notes as you like. Once there are several, tap View all to see the full history.

Record a voice note

Talking is faster than typing, especially between meetings.

  1. Open the contact and tap the microphone button in the note box.

  2. Speak. While it's recording you'll see Recording...

  3. Stop when you're done.

Covve transcribes what you said into the note, you'll see Transcribing... while it works and keeps the audio attached, so you can play it back from the note itself.

Transcription needs a connection. If you're offline you'll be told "You need to be connected in order to transcribe a voice note". If it fails, tap Retry.

FAQ

Can I record a voice note on a contact I saved weeks ago?

Yes. Voice notes work on any saved contact, not just new ones.

Is this the same as adding a contact with voice?

No. Voice capture creates a new contact from what you say. A voice note attaches to a contact that already exists. If you created a contact with voice, that original recording stays playable too, from the Added on row at the bottom.

What happens if I discard a recording?

You'll be asked to confirm: "If you cancel now, the audio and any transcribed details will be lost."

Can I keep the text but drop the audio?

Yes. Use Remove audio on the note.
