Sharing a contact

Getting one contact out of Covve and into someone else's hands, your phone, or your team.

Last updated on 31 Aug, 2026

Open the contact, then tap the … button. Everything below starts there.

Send the contact to someone

Tap Share contact. Covve builds a vCard and hands it to your phone's usual share sheet, so you can send it however you normally would, message, email, AirDrop.

Because it's a vCard, whoever receives it can save it straight into their own contacts without retyping anything. Covve adds a line noting the contact was sent via Covve and when.

Save it to your phone

Tap Save to phone. The contact is written into your phone's own address book, so it turns up when you search your phone or get a call from that number.

Share with your team

If you're in a team, Share with team makes the contact visible to your teammates rather than keeping it to yourself. You'll see a Shared confirmation.

Send it to your CRM

Menu lists the CRMs you've connected, Send to Salesforce, Send to Hubspot, Send to Zoho, Send to Dynamics 365, and others, so a single contact can go straight into your pipeline.

See Which CRMs Covve connects to for setting one up.

FAQ

What format is a shared contact?

A vCard file, which every phone and mail client understands.

Does the recipient need Covve?

No, the contact can be saved in their phone contacts

Is "Share contact" the same as "Send your card"?

No. Share contact sends their details to someone else. Send your card sends your digital business card to them.

Can I share notes along with the contact?

The vCard carries the contact's details. It isn't a way to send your private notes.
