Sign up or log in to Covve Scan with Google, Apple or email, and find help if your sign-in link or account doesn’t work.

You can sign in to Covve Scan with Google, Apple or email. Apple is offered on iPhone only. With email, we send you a sign-in link, so there's no password to remember. Your account is what backs up your contacts, lets you use Covve Scan on more than one device and holds your digital business card, so it's worth having one.

Sign up (new to Covve)

  1. Tap the Menu tab (three-line icon) at the bottom right of the screen.

  2. Tap Sign up on the banner at the top.

  3. Choose Continue with Google, Continue with Apple or Continue with email.

  4. With email, type your address and tap Send verification. We send you a "Confirm your email" message with a Sign in to Covve button. Open it on your phone and tap the button. Covve opens and signs you in.

You can also tap Create account on the Keep your scans safe banner on your contacts list.

Log in (you already have an account)

You can log in in two places:

  • On a fresh install: tap Login. On the welcome screen it's under Get Started ("Already have an account?"). On the paywall it's on the bottom row.

  • Any time later: tap the Menu tab, then Sign up on the banner at the top. The same screen handles both signing up and logging in.

Then choose email, Google or Apple, using the same method you signed up with. With email, tap the Sign in to Covve button in the email.

New to Covve? Don't use Login on a fresh install. It's for accounts that already have a plan or saved contacts. If you try, the app says No activity yet for this email. Tap Start free trial, then sign up from the Menu tab.

The email link doesn't work

  • Open it on the phone where Covve Scan is installed. If Covve asks you to Confirm your email, type the address the link was sent to.

  • Use the newest email. Each link works once and expires, so an older one shows Invalid link or Link expired. Tap Send a new link in that message, or tap Resend email on the sign-in screen.

  • Covve says "Email doesn't match"? Type the exact address the email was sent to.

  • Tapping opens a browser instead of the app? On the Check your inbox! screen, copy the link from the email first, then tap Paste login link from email (under Link won't open?). If you see "No login link found. Copy from your Covve email.", copy the link again.

  • On Android, you can also go to Settings → Apps → Covve Scan → Open by default / Open supported links → Allow.

  • Work email? Some company mail systems rewrite links (they start with urldefense, safelinks or similar), and a rewritten link may not sign you in. Try Paste login link from email.

  • Invited by your company? Sign in with the invited address. See Join your company's Covve account.

The sign-in email never arrives

  1. Wait a couple of minutes, then check Spam/Junk, Promotions and any company quarantine.

  2. Check the address for typos. The link only goes to the exact address you typed. On the Check your inbox! screen, tap Use a different email to correct it.

  3. New to Covve? Don't use Login on a fresh install. Tap Start free trial, then sign up from the Menu tab.

  4. Signed up with Google or Apple before? Use that same button. It doesn't send an email.

  5. Started a trial on covve.com? The activation email goes to the address you entered at checkout.

  6. Tap Resend email. It works again after about a minute. If you see Too many requests, wait a minute and try again.

"No account found", or an empty account

Covve Scan accounts are never deleted automatically, so this almost always means you've signed in with a different email or sign-in method from the one your account uses. Each email, and each of Google and Apple, is a separate account. Signing up again with a new address creates a new, empty account. On a fresh install, the app may say No activity yet for this email. That means the same thing: nothing in Covve Scan is linked to that email yet.

  1. Check the email. Make sure it's the address you signed up with, and check for typos.

  2. Did you sign up with Google or Apple? Then sign in with that button, not with email. Try each option (Google, Apple, email) with each address you might have used.

  3. Your payment email isn't your account. The Apple ID or Google account that paid doesn't create a Covve account. Your account is the email you signed in with inside the app.

  4. Still have the old phone? Open Covve there, tap the Menu tab, then My account. It shows the email and sign-in method you're signed in with, and your User ID.

  5. Using Covve Personal CRM? That's a different app with its own accounts. Your Covve Scan account won't show up there, and the other way round.

Two separate accounts can't be merged, but you can switch between them by logging out and back in. To log out, tap the Menu tab, then My account, then Logout. First make sure your contacts have finished syncing, because logging out clears the contacts from the phone.

Signed in but asked to pay again? See Paid, but the app still asks you to upgrade.

Lost access to the email on your account?

You need that inbox to receive the sign-in link.

  • Still signed in on a phone? Change your sign-in email now: tap the Menu tab, then My account, then Switch login method. See Change your sign-in email or login method.

  • Can't sign in anywhere? Create a new account with an email you can access. If you bought in the App Store or Google Play, the purchase isn't on the new account yet, so tap Restore purchases, using the same store account you paid with. See Paid, but the app still asks you to upgrade. Contacts saved in the old account don't move over.

Sign in to manage your digital business card

Your cards are in Covve Scan. Sign in as above, then tap the My Card tab at the bottom of the screen.

Made your card in the separate Covve Card app? Sign in and edit it there.

Card says "account not found"? Check that you're using the email the card was created with (for a company card, the work email your company registered), whether you signed up with Google or Apple, and that you're in Covve Scan, not Covve Personal CRM.

Lost access to the email on your card? Email support@covve.com with your card's link, the name on the card and an email you can access now. Our team will help.
